Great value for a quick stay in Cartagena

Location was great! Close walk to great food and fun bars. Easy walk to the center of the city but less street vendors which is nice to get away from when exploring. Staff was helpful and friendly! Especially to non-Spanish speakers.

Breakfast was ok (and we tried all 3 choices) Pool was out of order when we were there.

When it rained, it dripped in both the bathroom and bedroom,...

When it rained, it dripped in both the bathroom and bedroom, getting the carpet wet, and it smelled for two days. The door key did not work well, nor did the room safe, which actually had to be broken into by a locksmith so that we could get our passports out, and we nearly missed our flight. The staff were friendly but not professional, and I simply cannot recommend this place.

Clean and nice rooms.

Clean and nice rooms. Front desk staff were always available for anything.

We were not able to enjoy breakfast because it was only after 8am ( more than less ) and most of the tours that you can book in Cartagena start earlier or at the same time.

Where do I begin?!

Where do I begin?! From the wonder staff, to the locals, to the food. I loved the space, bathrooms, and pool. If you are looking for an intimate experience, I definitely recommend this place.

What was the highlight of Hotel Boutique Casa San Miguel

I don't really think it should be called Boutique.

Check in was easy. Friendly staff. Facilities were basic, yet available for me as a guest. Good location in between Manga and the old town. Close to the Tourist marinas and the Trinidad square. Room size was decent yet could be cleaner.

Breakfast started late and you had to arrange it earlier, but we were not informed. No hot water on the shower, should be stated somewhere. No adequate space for the overnight staff to rest or sleep. Could be cleaner.

The place is in a quite position in getsemani, however it is very close to the casco viejo. The staff was really kind and accomodating. We strongly suggest this hotel to visit cartagena!

The whole staff was always ready to help out.

The whole staff was always ready to help out. Going blocks to show us or one day to flag down a taxi when Colombia was playing soccer. Super people.

The ONLY problem was the bed frame (same in other rooms). Very large timbers stick out 6 inches sides and bottom. The corners are sharp and cut our shins 2x each. Rounding the wood corners would help a lot.

A Restful Oasis in Cartagena!

Boutique Hotel Casa San Miguel is a true gem in Cartagena! Located in Getsemani, it is a 10 minute walk to the main attractions in Santo Domingo. There is a plaza right at the end of the street where people gather every night with music and street vendors. It is cozy and a great place to rest your head at night. Angelina is the woman who takes care of the property grounds and does an excellent job preparing your breakfast and greeting you with warm Colombian hospitality. Hasley and Francisco manage the front desk and were kind and very helpful during our stay, arranging our transportation and reservations. Overall we loved it and can't wait to go back, it's an amazing value for your money!

There was never any drinkable water in the common area for guests. With the heat in Cartagena that is unacceptable, it should be a standard and must be filled at all times. If you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you. Every night there are gatherings at the plaza and neighboring houses playing music.

Such a cozy and nice place to relax.

Such a cozy and nice place to relax. No noice around, everything was clean and location seems to be perfect for those who want to hang out in a center of the city and be not that far from the sea. However, having a more variety of the breakfast proposed the hotel would benefit defenitely.

Ok - we loved the location but we’re disappointed with the hotel facilities.

Location

We booked a ‘Junior Suite’. The room most definitely didn’t qualify as that. There was nowhere to put our stuff. One small wardrobe, 2 bedside tables and the bed. Not even a chair. There was never any hot water in the shower
